# Brazilian fintech Dock clocks $1.5 billion in valuation, becomes a unicorn

[Dock,](https://www.linkedin.com/company/dock-community/?originalSubdomain=br) a Brazil-based fintech company has reached a $1.5 billion valuation after its new funding round led by the Lightrock and Silver Lake Waterman funds. 

- Dock provides bank-as-a-service (BaaS) for merchants in need of payment processing, proprietary credit cards, and other services on its platform.
- The company emerged from a 2021 merger of Dock, Conductor and Muxi and is now widely visible in Latin America.
- It last raised funds from Viking Capital and Visa Ventures.
