Chilean healthtech startup Examedi raises $17 million in funding

Examedi, a Chile-based healthtech startup using its app to connect medical examiners to patients has raised $17 million in its Series A funding round led by General Catalysts.

  • The fund will be used to support its product development with a major focus on B2B solutions, and to expand its already registered presence in Chile and Mexico in Latin America.
  • Examedi offers at-home services for clients by linking them to health professionals for medical testing.
  • Thomas Srougi of Dr Consulta, Sebastian Mejia of Rappi, and Jamie Karraker of Alto Pharmacy invested in the round.
  • The firm last raised $3.5 million in its seed round funding.
