[Synapse Analytics,](https://www.synapse-analytics.io/) an Egypt-based AI tech startup has raised $2 million in its pre-series A funding round led by Egypt Ventures. 

- The fund will be used to expand its operations and accelerate the adoption of AI by businesses, the firm claims.
- Founded in 2018, Synapse uses its machine learning (ML) platform, Konan to build trust between businesses and AI through the adoption of ML in their operations.
- It also offers software-as-a-service (SaaS) options which enable data teams to deploy and scale their AI models.
- Amr Awadallah, Cloudera's founder and Simon Rolands, Africa Platforms founder invested in the round.
