Egyptian AI startup Synapse Analytics raises $2 million in funding

Synapse Analytics, an Egypt-based AI tech startup has raised $2 million in its pre-series A funding round led by Egypt Ventures.

  • The fund will be used to expand its operations and accelerate the adoption of AI by businesses, the firm claims.
  • Founded in 2018, Synapse uses its machine learning (ML) platform, Konan to build trust between businesses and AI through the adoption of ML in their operations.
  • It also offers software-as-a-service (SaaS) options which enable data teams to deploy and scale their AI models.
  • Amr Awadallah, Cloudera's founder and Simon Rolands, Africa Platforms founder invested in the round.
