# Google is expanding its Generative AI technology to Asia-Pacific

Last month, [Google launched a beta version of its Search Generative Experience (SGE) ](https://www.techloy.com/google-sge-expansion-plans/)to make it faster to search for generative AI technology as it looks towards expanding its market to parts of the world, especially in Asia-Pacific.

Asia-Pacific (APAC) sales alone were $47 billion in the same fiscal year and it accounted for 16% of global revenue. The sales in Asia-Pacific are more than half of what other regions combined could not match. This could be a key factor why Asia-Pacific is a better preference to others.

The Search for Generative Artificial Intelligence technology in the region shows how committed Google is to remain a key driver of AI technology and how important the Asia-Pacific region is to the tech giant.
