How to Send Photos on WhatsApp Without Losing the Photo Quality

Before now, a lot of WhatsApp users complained about their photos losing quality when they sent them over the app.

But, thanks to a new feature from WhatsApp, you can send pictures without any loss in their original quality and resolution. All you need to do is to choose your preferred media upload quality from the options: ‘Auto’, ‘Best quality’ and ‘Data saver’.

Now, you can choose whether you want to send pictures in their original quality or in a compressed format to save data. There's also an 'Auto' option that's really convenient. So, if you have this setting selected, WhatsApp will automatically send high-quality images when your device is connected to Wi-Fi.

In this article, we will show you how to send photos on WhatsApp without losing the photo quality. Here's a step-by-step guide below.

  1. Go to WhatsApp
  2. Click on the three-dot icon
  3. Select Storage and Data

4.  Under the Media upload quality section, tap on Photo upload quality

5.  Choose your desired quality and Click OK

With this feature, the receiver can see the picture in all its high-resolution glory. This is great for important photos like events, artwork, or professional photography where the details really matter.

As cool as it is, there's a downside to sending high-quality photos too. They can take up a lot of storage space on both your device and the receiver's device. So, if you're someone with limited storage space on your phone or if you receive a ton of high-quality photos regularly, it can be a bit of a challenge.

Plus, sending high-quality photos can use up more data, which can be a real issue for users on limited data plans or with slower internet connections.
