I recently switched back to an [Android](https://www.techloy.com/tag/android/) phone and noticed something odd when I took a selfie. Specifically, the preview looked just right, but the final image was mirrored. 

It caught me off guard. My hair part, the background, and even the text on my shirt all looked reversed. Turns out, many Android phones save front camera selfies as mirror images by default.

## **Steps to Stop Your Android Camera From Taking Mirrored Selfies**

The steps were carried out on a Google Pixel phone, so they might be slightly different from other Android devices. 

### **Step 1: Open your camera app and click the settings icon in the bottom left corner**
