# Indian agritech startup Nutrifresh raises $5 million for expansion

[Nutrifresh,](https://www.nutrifresh.co/#/home) an agritech startup firm based in India has raised $5 million in its new funding round to scale its operations in making chemical-free produce generated hydroponically. 

- The funds will be used to expand its operations, improve traceability and transparency of fresh produce, and market and build out its farm-tech platform, it claims.
- Nutrifresh manages the planting to harvest of produce including procuring seeds, germination, nursery, harvesting, packaging, and delivery to the end-user.
- Theodore Cleary, Sandiip Bhammer, Sky Kurtz, Matthew Cyriac, Soumitra Dutta, and Shaishav Dharia led the funding round with participation from other investors.
