Indian AI edtech PurpleTutor raises $1.2 million

PurpleTutor, an India-based artificial intelligence (AI) focused edtech startup has raised $1.25 million in its Series A funding round from Disruptors Capital and other investors.

  • The capital will be used to build its product offering and strengthen its AI products. The edtech earlier raised $300 thousand in its seed round in January and has now raised $1.6 million in total funding since its launch.
  • PurpleTutor offers personalized live technology classes to children. Its AI-driven classes include app development, game design, 3D game design, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML).
  • The edtech startup recorded a 4.5x increase in revenue in FY21 and is looking to launch new subjects to bolster its technology educational offerings. IvyCap Ventures, HCL Cofounder, Mr. Arjun Malhotra invested in the latest funding round.
