India's climate career platform Terra.do secures $5 million in funding

Terra.do, an India-based climate career platform has raised $5 million in its seed round funding to attract 100 million people to the climate field by 2030.

  • The funds will support the firm's plans to onboard more people to the field, improve access for professionals, and mitigate climate crises.
  • Founded in 2020, Terra.do provides a platform that connects professionals in the climate industry including energy, mobility, regenerative agriculture and experts from policy, science, and finance.
  • The firm has launched its app that enables contact between climate businesses and potential employees and allows professionals to apply for climate fellowships.
  • Avaana Capital led the funding round with participation from SIG, the TELUS Pollinator Fund for Good, Precursor, BEENEXT, City Light, Hummingbird Firm, and Avesta.
