[Lami Technologies,](https://www.lami.world/) an insurtech startup based in Kenya has raised $3.7 million in its seed extension round led by Harlem Capital. 

- The fund will be used to hire, fast-track its expansion plans, and improve underwriter partnerships, the startup claims.
- Launched in 2020, Lami uses a single platform and API to allow businesses in different sectors to create suited insurance solutions for their customers.
- The insurtech startup is increasing insurance access and penetration in Kenya and the rest of Africa, and it recently expanded to Egypt and Nigeria.
- Newtown Partners, Peter Bruce-Clark, Caribou Honig, and Jay Weintraub invested in the round.
