# Lightspeed secures $500 million to invest in startups in India and Southeast Asia

Global Venture Capital firm, [Lightspeed Venture Partners](https://lsvp.com/) has secured $500 million for its [India Fund](https://lsvp.com/global-presence/lightspeed-india/) to invest in startups across India and Southeast Asia.

- The $500 million raise is part of the $7 billion raise announced by the VC to be invested in early and growth-stage startups globally.
- The India Fund will be deployed as $500,000-$15 million for Series B investment.
- With more than $1.5 billion invested in India, Lightspeed's portfolio includes Udaan, Cato Networks, Sharechat, Carta, Grafana, and Rubrik among others.
- The VC also announced its launch of Lightspeed Faction which will fund web3 startups globally in the blockchain ecosystem.
