WhatsApp adds message filters for easier organization

WhatsApp has been criticized over the years for being hard to use, particularly when separating and keeping tabs on conversations. But that is all about to change in the upcoming weeks

Meta is updating its popular chat app with inbox filters to help keep track of users' chats and organize them.

With this addition, you will be able to organize and find your most important conversations when navigating through messages more efficiently. You will also be able to separate “Unread" and "Groups” chats, making it easier to access your conversations.

This update will introduce three filter buttons to the top of the app's standard list of conversations. "All," which is the default, will show all messages, with the other two options being "Unread" and "Groups."

According to Meta, the free update should be available to all users in the coming weeks. With this in mind, WhatsApp could be looking to increase its 2 billion users worldwide.
