# Morocco-based brand promotion platform WafR secures around $1 million in seed funding

[WafR,](https://www.wafr.co/) a Moroccan app-based platform for retail brands to broadcast their promotions to grocers has raised $1.075 million in its seed funding round. 

- The round earlier received $620 thousand and $455 thousand as its latest raise.
- The funds will be used to increase its employee base, scale its commercial activities, and reach 50,000 grocery partners, the firm claims.
- Launched in 2021, WafR is an app that enables retail brands to broadcast their promotions to grocers to increase their market shares.
- South Africa-based Launch Africa Ventures, First Circle Capital, WeLoveBuzz, and angel investors backed the new funding round.
