You know that little moment of frustration when you move your DualSense controller from [PS5](https://www.techloy.com/tag/ps5/) to [PC](https://www.techloy.com/tag/pc-2/) or your phone, and it makes you re-pair the devices like they’ve never met before? Sony finally fixed that.

The latest PlayStation 5 update lets you link a controller to multiple devices at once, so switching between them is painless. It’s the kind of small quality-of-life change fans have been begging for since the console launched.

The update, officially labelled version 25.06-12.00.00, is rolling out now at about 1.3 GB. Alongside the controller upgrade, [Sony](https://www.techloy.com/tag/sony/) introduced a Power Saver mode, which reduces performance in supported games to conserve power. You can enable the feature in **Settings > System > Power Saving > Power Saver for Games**, and even decide whether to turn it on or off for each supported game.

Speaking of supported games, Sony has confirmed that titles like *Death Stranding 2: On the Beach*, *Ghost of Yotei*, and *Demon’s Souls* will receive patches to support the feature in the future. It is a move that lines up with the gaming industry’s increasing focus on sustainability, echoing similar initiatives seen on [Xbox](https://www.techloy.com/tag/microsoft-xbox/) consoles.

This patch arrives right as the PS5 is heading into one of its busiest stretches yet. September alone includes *Dying Light: The Beast*, *Silent Hill f*, *Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds*, and [*EA Sports*](https://www.techloy.com/tag/ea-sports/) *FC 26*.

October and November bring heavy hitters like *Ghost of Yotei*, *Battlefield 6*, and *Call of Duty: Black Ops 7*, while December is stacked with *Octopath Traveler 0*, *Code Violet*, and *Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection*. With so many big releases, features that make swapping between devices easier or help the console run more efficiently are arriving at the perfect time.

Looking ahead, Sony will have a major presence at Tokyo Game Show later this month. Expect deeper dives into *Ghost of Yotei*, *Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls*, *Astro Bot*, and more. Between the update, the stacked release calendar, and a TGS showcase, Sony clearly wants the PS5 firing on all cylinders before the holiday rush.
