Oracle Introduces Generative AI Tools for Businesses

Database technology giant Oracle has found a new use case for AI: helping businesses to run their finances, HR and supply chains faster and better.

It is introducing generative artificial intelligence features across its corporate software lineup to help "increase productivity, reduce costs, expand insights, and improve the employee and customer experience."

Oracle says the feature offers its customers more than 50 ways to take advantage of generative AI, the same kind of technology used by OpenAI's GPT-4.

With these, finance professionals can better explain business trends and forecasts, program managers can be more effective with project planning, product specialists can generate SEO-friendly product descriptions, while call center employees can summarize their interactions with customers.

The Texas-based company is hoping to intensify its competition with Microsoft and other technology firms that are using AI tools to sell products to their enterprise customers.
