Tunisian edtech startup GOMYCODE raises $8 million in Series A round

GOMYCODE, an edtech startup based in Tunisia has raised $8 million in its Series A funding round from Cathay AfricInvest Innovation Fund (CAIF).

  • The funds will be used to expand its services across the Middle East and African (MEA) region and further scale its platform, the firm claims.
  • GOMYCODE is a digital learning platform offering courses in over 30 areas including data science, artificial intelligence, web development, and digital marketing among others.
  • The firm currently operates in eight countries in the MEA region including Nigeria, with a plan to open 50 new locations in the region by 2024.
  • AfricInvest and Proparco led the funding round with participation from Wamda Capital, an existing investor.
