Vibe coding is a new technique to develop software that leverages AI, notably LLMs, to write code. 

It involves making software that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to turn spoken words into code that works. This speeds up creation and makes it easier for people who don't know much about programming to make apps.

The term was popularized by Andrej Karpathy in early 2025 to describe a software development style that heavily relies on AI to generate and assist with code.
