According to a *WABetalnfo* report, WhatsApp is currently working on its multi-account feature that enables users to add a second account directly within the WhatsApp settings. So you won't need a separate app or device to access your additional account.

However, this multi-account feature will allow you to seamlessly switch between two different accounts on the same device. No more logging in and out or juggling between apps. What's more, is that this feature keeps your conversations and notifications neatly separated.
