[Zenysis Technologies,](https://www.zenysis.com/) a healthtech firm headquartered in San Francisco and Cape Town, has secured $13.3 million in its Series B funding round to improve its big data efforts at improving effective responses to health emergencies in Africa. 

- The fund will be used to increase the scope of its health programs, improve multi-sector governmental responses to health emergencies, expand its services in Africa, and secure strategic partnerships with key innovators using technology and talent development.
- Founded in 2016 by Jonathan Stambolis, Zenysis provides software to governments to fight disease outbreaks, respond to critical health emergencies, and improve healthcare provisions for the people.
- The firm last raised $5.8 million in its Series A round in 2018 and plans to expand its presence in Africa in the next two years.
- Steele Foundation for Hope led the funding round, with participation from Peter Thiel and 500 startups, a VC firm based in the US.
