Developer Embark Studios has officially launched the Shrouded Sky update for ARC Raiders, bringing a violent Hurricane map condition, two brand-new ARC machine threats, a fresh Raider Deck, major map changes, and yes, facial hair.
Shrouded Sky goes live today, and it’s easily one of the most significant content drops since launch.
Here is everything you need to know:
Hurricane Map Condition Turns the Rust Belt Into a War Zone
Speranza is on edge as a sudden Hurricane barrels through the Rust Belt, creating one of the most dangerous surface conditions Raiders have faced yet.
It’s the kind of high-risk, high-reward scenario ARC Raiders thrive on, and exactly the kind of “don’t go outside” warning that Raiders treat as an invitation.
Two New ARC Machines: Firefly and Comet
The Hurricane isn’t the only new threat lurking in the fog.
Shrouded Sky also introduced two unique ARC enemies that demand new strategies.
The Firefly is an armoured aerial machine that hovers above the battlefield, unleashing jets of flame from above.
The Comet, on the other hand, is deceptively calm. This spherical ARC patrols quietly until it spots a Raider. Once it locks on, it charges and detonates with a seismic explosion that can devastate anyone caught too close.
Weather Monitoring System Project Adds Community Goals
Lore-wise, Shani and Speranza were caught off guard by the Hurricane — and that’s not happening again.
Players can now contribute materials collected topside to help build a new weather monitoring system. This project-based feature rewards Raiders for turning in specific resources, creating a shared progression goal that benefits the broader community
Surgeon Raider Deck Brings Rewards (and Style)
A new free Raider Deck titled Surgeon also arrives with Shrouded Sky.
Focused on precision and discipline, the Surgeon Deck rewards players with cosmetic unlocks and other items in exchange for Cred earned by completing Feats topside. Completing the deck gradually unlocks the full Surgeon cosmetic set, giving players a distinctive new look.
Yes, Beards Are Finally Here
All players receive the Stubble cosmetic immediately with the update. A Full Beard can be unlocked through the Surgeon Raider Deck, while additional beard styles like the Stubble Beard and Thick Moustache are available in the store starting February 24.
Dam Battlegrounds Map Update Adds High-Value Loot Zone
Dam Battlegrounds, one of the community’s most-played maps, is also getting attention.
A new high-security loot area called the Controlled Access Zone has been uncovered. This high-risk zone promises valuable rewards, with players able to spot it by the striking Rocketeer chandelier landmark.
Embark has previously hinted that all maps will receive ongoing improvements, and this marks the first major refresh for Dam Battlegrounds.
New Cosmetic Bundles (With a Small Change)
The Volare Set launches February 24, letting Raiders charge into the storm in style. The Devotee Set was originally planned for release alongside it but will now arrive at a later date.
A new Backpack Set and Raider Tool Set are also being introduced as part of the update’s cosmetic rollout.
