Asia’s startup scene this week saw $112.7 million raised across AI, SaaS, deeptech, chemicals, apparel, and sustainability, with India clearly leading the pack in both deal size and deal volume.

The week’s biggest headline came from Beroe, a SaaS-based procurement intelligence company from India, which secured $34 million in fresh funding. The company plans to expand its procurement intelligence stack through both product development and acquisitions, aiming to strengthen its ability to serve global procurement managers.

In deeptech, Chakr Innovation, an Indian startup tackling industrial emissions, closed a $23 million Series C round to scale up manufacturing, pursue international expansion, and boost research and development. Close behind, Emergent AI, an Indian platform pioneering “vibe coding,” raised $23 million in a Series A round to hire more talent, improve its AI coding tools, and grow its global presence.

On the chemicals side, Distil, an Indian specialty chemicals startup, raised $7.7 million in Series A funding to broaden its product range, build enterprise partnerships, and invest in high-value industrial R&D. Meanwhile, Gullak, a gold savings app from India, raised $7.5 million in a Series A round to strengthen ties with jewellers and expand its reach across tier-2 and tier-3 cities.

In Vietnam, Coolmate, a D2C men’s apparel brand, secured $6 million in Series B funding to expand its business and increase its presence in the local fashion space. Back in India, sustainability startup Amwoodo raised $4 million in a pre-Series A round to scale production for its eco-friendly products, expand its Ecoconscious marketplace, and launch new plastic-alternative brands.

AI in fintech also got a boost this week with Bengaluru-based OnFinance AI raising $4.2 million in a pre-Series A round. The company will use the funds to improve its BFSI-focused AI models, expand globally, and strengthen its engineering and research teams.

Finally, in battery technology, Xbattery, an Indian startup innovating in hardware and energy storage, raised $2.3 million in a seed round to support R&D, scale prototypes, and build its team as it looks to fulfil early orders.
