iQOO has announced that its latest flagship, the iQOO 15 Ultra, will be released in early February in China. The phone comes with a massive active cooling system, which could be one of the most advanced thermal solution we have seen in a mainstream smartphone to date.
The company recently grabbed global headlines with the standard iQOO 15 series, but this "Ultra" variant is positioned as a dedicated hardcore gaming powerhouse designed to rival the Red Magic 10 Pro.
Here is what we know so far about the iQOO 15 Ultra:
Performance
It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the same powerhouse processor found in the Samsung S26 Ultra. It is paired with iQOO’s proprietary Q3 gaming chip, which acts as a dedicated graphics booster. This chip allows visual frames in games to run at a smooth 144fps, while sharpening the image resolution to save battery life.
Early benchmarks shared by iQOO showed the device hitting an AnTuTu score of 4.51 million, a record-breaking figure that suggests it could significantly outperform any current flagships. The Ultra also features pressure-sensitive Monster Touch shoulder triggers on the side frame for console-like control.
Design and Battery

The unique feature of the IQOO 15 Ultra is its Active Centrifugal Fan. By integrating a physical fan measuring 17x17x4mm directly into the phone’s chassis, iQOO claims the device can sustain peak performance indefinitely without throttling.
The design, which was teased in official posters, leans heavily into sci-fi aesthetics. It features a semi-transparent camera module with a "breathing light" strip and comes in two distinct colourways: "2077" (Black/Orange) and "2049" (Silver/Blue). The rear panel also sports a hexagonal honeycomb texture for improved grip.
To keep the fan spinning and the screen bright, iQOO has equipped the Ultra with a massive 7,000mAh Silicon-Anode battery. It supports 100W Flash Charge and wireless charging, meaning you can top up the massive cell in under 35 minutes.
Camera and Display

The iQOO 15 Ultra comes with a triple 50MP camera setup. This includes a 50MP Periscope Telephoto (3x) using the Sony IMX882 sensor, ensuring high-quality zoom shots.
For its display, iQOO went with a flat 6.85" 2K+ LTPO AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, which significantly increases the gaming experience.
Expected Pricing
iQOO is expected to position this as a premium tier device, slightly above the standard number series. Leaks suggest the following breakdown for the China launch:
- 16GB/512GB: ¥5,999 (about $830).
- 24GB/1TB: ¥6,999 (about $970).
The device is expected to go on sale in China first, with a global launch (specifically India and Southeast Asia) likely to follow in Q2 2026.
