Motorola G67 Power 5G Debuts in India With 7,000mAh Battery

A release like this blurs the line between mid-range and flagship in a way that’s getting hard to ignore.

You can almost tell that mid-range phones are starting to feel a lot more premium lately, and the Motorola G67 Power 5G is another example of that.

The new Moto G67 Power 5G, launched in India on Wednesday, is the latest addition to Motorola’s G series lineup. It may not carry the same brand weight as Samsung or Apple, but it handles most day-to-day tasks just as well without pushing the budget.

The phone has a 6.7-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. In real use, that means scrolling feels a bit more fluid, videos look clean, and the screen doesn’t feel cheap. The Gorilla Glass 7i protection and MIL-810H durability rating also give it a bit of confidence; this is not one of those phones where you panic the moment it slips out of your hand. And with an IP64 rating, it can handle dust and light splashes without stress.

It also comes in three Pantone-inspired finishes: Parachute Purple, Blue Curacao, and Cilantro. The colors give it a more playful, refined look, rather than the usual safe, boring shades you see on most mid-range devices.

Inside, it’s powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 with 8GB RAM, expandable up to 24GB using Motorola’s RAM Boost. So the phone handles messaging, social media, GPS, and normal app switching without stuttering. It starts with Android 15 and is set to get Android 16, plus three years of security updates. Gemini AI support is already built in, so you’re not waiting for some future patch to access it. As for photos and videos, the cameras hold up well for everyday use. The 50MP Sony LYT-600 main shooter handles daylight shots nicely, while the 8MP ultra-wide gives you more room to fit things in the frame when you need it. The 32MP front camera is solid for selfies and video calls without looking washed out. Video recording tops out at 1080p 30fps, so it’s not aimed at creators, but it’s steady enough for casual clips and social posts. What really stands out is the battery. The 7,000mAh silicon-carbon cell is big, but more importantly, it’s efficient. You’re looking at multi-day use for most normal people. Long trips, weekend use without charging, or just a busy day away from sockets—this battery is built for that. Charging is 30W, which isn’t blazing fast, but you won’t be charging as often anyway.

Connectivity covers 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and support for multiple satellite systems, so you’re covered whether you’re streaming, navigating, or just staying connected through the day. Audio comes through stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, which gives movies and music a fuller sound instead of that thin, hollow feel you get on cheaper phones. The fingerprint reader sits in the power button for quick unlocks, and the vegan leather back gives it a nicer grip without the smudges you usually get with glossy finishes.

For anyone planning to pick one up, it’ll be available on Flipkart from November 12, starting at ₹15,999 for the 128GB variant.

Overall, it’s a phone that leans more toward everyday comfort and usefulness than showy features. You can tell from the way it’s built and equipped that it’s meant to handle regular daily use without fuss, the kind of phone you don’t have to think too hard about.
