Are Foldables Finally Worth Folding For?

Your next daily driver might be folded in half.

Let’s be honest: foldables have been cool, but hardly convincing. Too bulky. Too fragile. Too “look what it can do,” and not enough “look what it helps me do.”

But this year, it appears that Samsung finally left a mark on its foldable lineup, and I might be convinced to consider one. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 brought a standout upgrade. It’s thinner, lighter, and sturdier, with a smoother hinge and a barely noticeable crease. Best part is that it finally works just as well closed as it does open. So it's less of a flashy gimmick.

The Z Flip 7 also got real upgrades, particularly the larger outer screen that finally feels useful. And for those holding back because of the price, the new Z Flip7 FE brings foldables to a wider audience. In my opinion, we’re finally at the point where foldables are becoming a daily driver.
