Nintendo is giving Switch 2 owners a splash of colour just in time for the next big game release. On February 12, alongside Mario Tennis Fever, two new Joy-Con 2 colours will hit shelves: Light Purple and Light Green. The announcement came via the Nintendo Today app and will roll out across Nintendo’s social channels.
The new colours follow the same design pattern as the original Joy-Con 2s: the shell remains mostly dark gray, while the joystick and connection accents get the colour treatment. Until now, Switch 2 players only had red and blue controllers, making it hard to distinguish multiple consoles in the same room. These new colours finally give players an option to add some personality or just avoid confusion during multiplayer sessions.
