Back in early December 2025, the Oppo Reno 15 lineup was teased for a global release, promising features specifically tailored for creators and gamers. This followed the initial November debut of the standard Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro in the Chinese market.
The series has now officially arrived in Taiwan, featuring the Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro, and the top-tier Reno 15 Pro Max, with a more compact Reno 15 Pro Mini expected to join the family very soon. Call it a New Year's gift, the launch certainly captures the holiday spirit, as all three current models boast an IP69 rating for superior dust and water resistance and run on ColorOS 16, which is built on the new Android 16.
Recent leaks have also shed light on how the upcoming compact model might be priced. According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Reno 15 Pro Mini is expected to have a box price of Rs 64,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant in India. Since retail prices are typically lower than the box price, it is likely to cost closer to Rs 59,999.

To back up that premium price tag, Oppo has confirmed some high-end hardware: the Pro Mini features a 6.32-inch AMOLED display and a remarkably slim 7.99 mm profile, weighing in at just 187 grams. It’s a true compact by modern standards, but it doesn't skimp on durability.
The device is reinforced with a "triple-threat" of IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings—protection levels we’re usually only seeing in top-tier flagships. There is even a specialized platinum coating around the USB-C port to prevent corrosion, though we’ll have to see how much of a difference that makes in daily use once we have it in hand. At the very least, the official teasers have given us a clear picture of what to expect from this pint-sized powerhouse.

Beyond the leaks, the rest of the lineup offers impressive hardware specs. For instance, the Pro model features a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 460ppi pixel density, while the standard Reno 15 opts for a larger 6.59-inch panel with identical specs. Under the hood, the Pro and Pro Max are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset, whereas the vanilla Reno 15 utilizes a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor.
Photography remains a focal point for the series. The Reno 15 Pro and Pro Max both feature a massive 200-megapixel main sensor with OIS, paired with a 50-megapixel 3.5x periscope telephoto lens and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. The standard Reno 15 scales things back slightly with a 50-megapixel main camera but keeps the periscope lens and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. All three models come equipped with a 50-megapixel front-facing camera for high-quality selfies.

Unlike earlier rumors, which suggested a 5,270mAh capacity, the Reno 15 Pro actually packs a 6,200mAh battery, and the standard model goes even further with 6,500mAh. Both support 80W wired fast charging. The Pro Max remains the crown jewel, featuring a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display and 512GB of internal storage to match its premium positioning.
In Taiwan, the standard Reno 15 starts at TWD 17,990 (roughly Rs 51,000), while the Reno 15 Pro is priced at TWD 20,990 (roughly Rs 60,000). The flagship Pro Max reaches TWD 24,990 (roughly Rs 71,000). These models are available in a range of striking finishes, from Aurora White and Sky Blue to the more sophisticated Twilight Gold and Desert Brown.

Take Away
The big takeaway here is the focus on "rugged luxury." It's not often you see IP69 ratings and 200MP cameras paired with massive 6,500mAh batteries in this segment. Even though the leaked pricing suggests we’ll be paying a bit more this year, the sheer upgrade in chip makes it feel like Oppo is finally closing the gap between the Reno series and its flagship siblings. If you’ve been waiting for a reason to upgrade, this "New Year’s gift" might be hard to ignore.
