Realme has announced that, its latest budget phone, the Realme P4 Power 5G will be released on January 29 in India. The phone comes with a massive 10,001mAh Silicon-Carbon battery, the largest we have seen in a mainstream smartphone!

The company recently grabbed global headlines with the Realme GT 8 Pro, a flagship phone that came with modular swappable cameras and a luxury Aston Martin edition (retailed at about $770).

Here is what we know so far about the Realme P4 Power 5G:

The Battery

The centrepiece of the P4 Power is, undeniably, the battery. By utilizing the same high-density Silicon-Carbon anode technology seen in the Honor Power 2, Realme has managed to squeeze 10,001 mAh into a body that weighs just 219g.

For context, this is nearly double the capacity of standard flagships like the iPhone 17 or Samsung S26, and significantly larger than the 7,000mAh cell found in the Realme P4x.

Realme claims the device can sustain 48 hours of continuous video playback or a week of moderate usage on a single charge. Perhaps more impressively, it features 80W Ultra Charge and 27W Reverse Charging, meaning the P4 Power can fast-charge your earbuds, smartwatch, or even a friend's dying iPhone at respectable speeds.

Performance

It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra, the same capable 6nm processor found in the P4x. It’s not a flagship chip like the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 inside the GT 8 Pro, but it pushes AnTuTu scores well above 800,000, ensuring smooth gaming at medium-to-high settings.

For its display, Realme went above the usual midrange phone expectation. The phone comes with a 6.78" Quad Curved AMOLED, 1.5K Resolution, 144Hz refresh rate which significantly increases gaming experience on the phone. It also  offers deep blacks and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits.

The Realme P4 Power is rated with IP68 / IP69 Dust & Water Resistance. This means it can withstand submersion (IP68), high-pressure and high-temperature water jets (IP69). It comes with up to 16GB of RAM (plus 12GB Dynamic RAM) and 512GB of storage.

Design

To cater for the heat generated by a massive battery and high-refresh screen, Realme has integrated a 6,000mm² Dual-Layer Vapour Chamber.

The design, which was developed in collaboration with the Pearl Academy, features a semi-transparent “TransView” back panel that is available in TransOrange and TransBlue colourways.

Camera and Software

The front camera of the device is a 8MP Ultra-Wide and a 2MP macro unit, with a 16MP shooter. At the back/rear, the device sports a triple camera setup led by a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), that ensures steady shots.

On the software front, it ships with Realme UI 7.0 (Android 16.) To match the massive battery lifespan, Realme is promising 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates, ensuring the software stays fresh well into 2029.

Expected Pricing

Realme is expected to maintain its aggressively affordable pricing strategy when the device hits shelves next week. Leaks suggest the following breakdown:

  • 8GB/128GB: ₹24,999 (about $300)
  • 12GB/256GB: ₹27,999 (about $335)
  • 16GB/512GB: ₹31,999 (about $385)

The device goes on sale starting January 29 via Flipkart and Realme.com.
