Valentine’s Day is around the corner, and couples everywhere are already thinking about what to get for the people they love. Some are thinking flowers with chocolates and dinner dates, others are even thinking weekend getaways, all the usual options are on the table.
But for tech lovers, gifts often look a little different. Instead of teddy bears, they’re thinking gadgets, subscriptions, and tools that make life more fun, productive, or comfortable.
So, we asked members of the Techloy editorial team what tech-related gifts they’d love to receive this Valentine’s Day. Their answers range from practical to playful, and you just might find some inspiration.
Here’s what the Techloy team had to say.

Valentine Gift: iPad M1

Why: I'm already locked into the Apple ecosystem, so having an iPad will complete the cycle. I have a Mac and an iPhone, so getting the iPad will really help with productivity and all that, since everything is synced.
There are a lot of things I would prefer to do on a bigger screen than my iPhone without jumping as far as my Mac, mostly because of the touchscreen capabilities. Plus, using a Mac is just heavy. There are so many reasons for me to get an iPad.

Valentine Gift: iPad Pro
Why: To be honest, I just like the aesthetics and function it performs, and I could also say the brand also plays a role in why I want it. I just love the mobile feeling and the ease it brings to the eyes as opposed to a small screen mobile phone, not to mention the multitasking you can do with it.

Valentine Gift: A PlayStation 5, Xbox 360 and a Nintendo Switch 2
Why: Gaming isn’t just a hobby for me, it’s part of my work and creative life. As someone who writes about entertainment, gaming culture, and digital trends, staying hands-on with different platforms helps me understand the ecosystem better, spot stories early, and write with real insight instead of surface-level commentary.
Beyond work, gaming is also how I relax and reset. After long days of writing, researching, and chasing stories, it’s my way to unwind, recharge mentally, and have fun, whether solo or with friends. It’s entertainment, inspiration, and self-care rolled into one

Valentine Gift: Sony XM6

Why: As someone who spends a lot of time writing, watching videos, and exploring music, a solid pair of noise-cancelling headphones would be a perfect gift. The Sony XM6 is easily one of the top-rated headsets in the industry, so why not get one for an audiophile in your life?
Good headphones are one of those items that quietly improve everyday life, which makes them an underrated but thoughtful Valentine’s gift.

Valentine Gift: MacBook
Why: I currently use Windows, but switching to macOS would be nice, especially since some newer AI tools and features tend to roll out on macOS first. It would make it easier to test releases early and explore tools as they launch.

Valentine Gift: A lifetime subscription to Apple TV+
Why: I'm an Apple TV girly. I love watching shows, and I love Apple TV shows. I think the shows from it are very good, very interesting, and very high quality. Plus, I think Apple TV is severely underrated. I've watched multiple shows on Apple TV to know that they actually have good shows. That's pretty much it.

Valentine Gift: An ergonomic chair
Why: As someone who spends the better part of my day (and night) glued to a screen, I’ve realized that my current setup is doing me no favors. I'm having constant back and neck pains that I can no longer ignore. Getting an ergonomic chair that comfortably supports my back and is a long-term investment in my physical longevity, so I can keep working without constant discomfort.
Kelechi Edeh (Senior Creative Associate)
Valentine Gift: Annual Adobe Subscription
Why: I mostly need it to improve my skillset cos that's a huge goal of mine this year, learning to use these tools and get better creatively. The val gift would be solving a major pain point for me, really.

Valentine Gift: Invite to the Perfect Hacker House
Why: Increasingly, I’ve felt like progress has been slow.
I need good feedback, and I need it constantly. I would like to be in a hacker house. Somewhere very cold, preferably with people building products that they are proud of and passionate about. The people in the house are kind and are uncompromising in their moral convictions. They are not grifters, and they have no rose-tinted glasses.
That would make me so happy right now.
