Vivo X300 and X300 Pro arrive in India with 200MP cameras and Dimensity 9500 chipset
Today’s launch confirmed the complete hardware, software, and performance details for Vivo’s next flagship phones.
Vivo’s big flagship moment has officially arrived in India. The company has launched the X300 and X300 Pro, its next-generation premium phones, and early reactions show that excitement around the lineup isn't misplaced.
These devices bring major upgrades in cameras, performance, and software, and Vivo is positioning them as alternatives to heavy hitters like the OnePlus 15 and iQOO 15. Both phones were unveiled earlier today during Vivo’s live event, which streamed on YouTube. With the launch now complete, the full picture of the X300 series is clear.
What Vivo confirmed at the launch
The Vivo X300 and X300 Pro are powered by MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500 chipset. Vivo says the chip is designed to deliver flagship-level performance while managing heat and power more efficiently. This places it in direct competition with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which powers several upcoming premium Android launches.

Cameras are the headline feature. The X300 carries a 200MP primary sensor, while the X300 Pro introduces a 200MP telephoto lens aimed at users who want advanced zoom.
Vivo is also rolling out OriginOS 6 in India for the first time. It is based on Android 16 and introduces smoother animations, a cleaner interface, and longer software support compared to previous Vivo flagships that shipped with FuntouchOS.

Because the X300 series has already been launched in China, most of the hardware confirmed today lines up with earlier international listings. Display-wise, the X300 features a 6.31-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. It includes Armour Glass protection and 2160Hz PWM dimming for reduced eye strain.
Meanwhile, the X300 Pro moves to a larger 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED panel with the same brightness and dimming tech. Both devices come with IP68 and IP69 ratings, which means they are safe from dust, splashes, and short water submersion.
If cameras are your priority, these phones are worth a closer look. The X300 includes a 200MP Samsung HPB main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP Sony LYT602 periscope telephoto. The front camera is 50MP. The X300 Pro switches to a 50MP Sony LYT828 main sensor, a 20MP ultra-wide, and a 200MP Samsung HPB periscope telephoto. This model is clearly targeted at users who value long-range photography and more flexible zoom performance. It also includes a 50MP front camera.

The X300 comes with a 6,040mAh battery, while the X300 Pro increases that to 6,510mAh. Both support 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging. This setup is designed to deliver full-day endurance, even with heavy use. Based on leaks and early listings, the X300 is expected to start around ₹75,000 ($834), while the X300 Pro may land near ₹1,10,000 ($1,223). Vivo hasn't yet confirmed final India pricing, but these figures place the lineup firmly in the premium category.
Conclusion
The Vivo X300 and X300 Pro enter India with strong hardware, ZEISS-backed camera systems, bright LTPO displays, large batteries, and a new Android 16-based OS. They are clearly aimed at users who want flagship cameras and reliable performance without compromising on software or battery life.
With India being one of the world’s most competitive smartphone markets, the X300 series arrives as a serious contender. Whether the focus is photography, power, or a polished user experience, Vivo now has a pair of flagships ready to take on the best of 2025.
