The launches, announced Jan. 8, update POCO’s entry-level portfolio with larger AMOLED displays, improved camera systems and faster processors, underscoring Xiaomi’s push to bring premium features into lower-priced devices amid slowing growth in the global smartphone market.

The phone’s camera packs a 50 MP main sensor featuring optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 32 MP selfie shooter. Audio is supported by stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio.

Battery life is strong thanks to a 6,500 mAh cell with 100 W fast charging and 22.5 W reverse wired charging, keeping the phone powered through heavy use. The Pro model is also rugged with IP66/IP69/IP69K dust and water resistance and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Priced from $299 (~₹27,000) for the 8GB/256GB version and $359 (~₹32,300) for the 12GB/512GB variant, the POCO M8 Pro 5G is positioned as a strong offering in the global mid-range segment. Early bird pricing can bring those figures down further.
