The Skoda Slavia has always been a slightly different choice in India’s sedan market. While SUVs continue to dominate, the Slavia has managed to keep buyers interested with its sharp design, strong engines and driving-focused character.

Now, Skoda is giving it a refresh, and some of the changes go beyond a new set of bumpers. The facelifted Slavia gets updated styling, more technology and, perhaps most importantly for everyday driving, a new eight-speed automatic gearbox for the 1.0 TSI engine. And it also might be a bit pricier.

Skoda unveiled the updated sedan on August 18, with bookings now open for the 2026 Slavia facelift at ₹15,000 ($156.68), but on-road prices won't be announced until October.

What new features and design are in the 2026 Skoda Slavia?

Skoda hasn’t completely redesigned the car. The familiar silhouette remains, but the front and rear have been cleaned up with revised LED headlamps and taillamps, a redesigned grille, updated bumpers and new alloy wheels. The rear also gets sequential turn indicators and a new trim piece carrying the “SKODA” lettering.

There are two new colours as well: Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige.

Inside, the changes are more noticeable. The digital driver’s display has grown to 10.25 inches, while the infotainment screen measures 10.1 inches and supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Higher variants also get a 360-degree camera and Park Pilot with front parking sensors.

But the feature that may get the most attention is the rear-seat massage function. Skoda describes it as a first in the segment, giving rear passengers something usually associated with much more expensive cars.

The new 8-speed automatic could matter more

Under the bonnet, the new Skoda Slavia keeps its familiar 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines.
