Pokémon Polaroid cameras are officially happening. Polaroid is celebrating Pokémon’s 30th anniversary with a new collection of instant cameras and accessories inspired by the franchise. The nine-piece limited-edition collection, created in partnership with The Pokémon Company, was announced on August 18, 2026.

Prices start at $22.99 for film and $99.99 for cameras in the US. Pre-orders open on August 25 in the US, UK, and Canada, with the collection set for a global launch on October 5.

The collaboration brings together three instant cameras, three film packs and three accessories, giving Pokémon fans a way to turn the franchise’s anniversary into physical photographs rather than keeping memories on a phone.

It just beat Donkey Kong Bananza to become Switch 2’s second best-selling game, only Mario Kart World sells more.

Pokémon Polaroid cameras: Pikachu, Sylveon and the Poké Ball

The cameras are based on three familiar Pokémon designs, with each model taking a different visual approach. The Polaroid Go Gen 3 comes in two versions, including a Pikachu-inspired yellow model and a pink-and-blue design based on Sylveon.

Both cost $99.99 in the US. The larger Polaroid Now Gen 3 takes inspiration from the Poké Ball, with its familiar red-and-white design, and costs $139.99.

The cameras also differ in size and format. The Go Gen 3 is Polaroid’s more compact instant camera, while the Now Gen 3 produces larger, full-size photographs. The standard Now Gen 3 also features autofocus and works with full-size i-Type film. The $40 difference buys a bigger print and autofocus, not a different finish.
