Africa's smartphone market saw a noteworthy turnaround in Q2 2023, as smartphone shipments surged by 7.6% year on year (YoY), totaling 19.6 million units, recent data from IDC's Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker revealed, following seven consecutive quarters of YoY decline.
Looking at the market performance by region, South Africa and Egypt experienced substantial growth in Q2 2023, of the three major markets, with YoY shipment increases.
