Avengers: Endgame Returns to Theatres With New Infinity Vision Format

Seven years after Avengers: Endgame became one of the biggest cinema events ever, Marvel is asking fans to assemble once again.

Avengers: Endgame Encore will return to cinemas on September 25, 2026, with new footage, a new introduction, and an additional post-credits scene designed to connect the film with the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. 

The re-release will also launch Disney’s Infinity Vision certification, which highlights premium auditoriums with large screens, laser projection and immersive audio. Tickets are going on sale from August 25, although prices will depend on the cinema and format selected.

What is new in Avengers Endgame Encore?

The return to cinemas will include new material alongside the original film. Marvel has added a special introduction, new footage and a post-credits sequence to the three-hour-plus runtime, with the additions designed to bridge the story between Endgame and Avengers: Doomsday. 

The re-release has a reported runtime of 185 minutes, making it around four minutes longer than the original theatrical cut.

Joe Russo has described the added material as a “critical companion story” to Doomsday, suggesting that Marvel sees the re-release as part of the build-up to its next Avengers chapter rather than simply a nostalgia screening.
