CMF Clip Pro vs. Baseus Bowie MC2

If you're looking for earbuds that let you enjoy your music without shutting out the world around you, open-ear designs have become one of the most compelling options. The CMF Clip Pro and the Baseus Bowie MC2 are two of the newest models competing for attention, each promising comfort, all-day wear, and a feature-packed experience. 

Despite their similar clip-on design, they take different approaches. One prioritizes smart software and ecosystem features, while the other focuses on battery life, comfort, and durability.  

So which one deserves your money? Here’s how they compare. 

/1. Design and comfort 

Although both earbuds clip onto your ears instead of sitting inside the ear canal, their designs are quite different. 

The CMF Clip Pro uses a three-point clip system with a titanium wire core designed to spread pressure more evenly across the ear. The earbuds are lightweight and feel secure enough for everyday use. Nothing also uses skin-friendly materials to improve long-term comfort. 

Baseus takes comfort a step further. The Bowie MC2 includes removable silicone air cushions in multiple sizes and a flexible titanium alloy bridge. It has earned a reputation as one of the most comfortable clip-on earbuds available, even during extended listening. 

The Bowie MC2 is also lighter, weighing just 5.1 g compared to CMF’s 5.92 g.

/2. Audio quality 

Both earbuds support LDAC, meaning Android users can stream higher-quality audio when supported. 

The CMF Clip Pro uses a 10.8mm dual-magnetic driver combined with Ultra Bass Technology, Sound Seal technology to reduce sound leakage, Static Spatial Audio, and Nothing’s custom tuning. It also supports custom EQ profiles inside the Nothing X app. 

Baseus counters with a slightly larger 11mm dynamic driver, directional acoustic vents, built-in bass enhancement, and Spatial Audio. It generally delivers a warmer, fuller sound with noticeably stronger bass than most open-ear earbuds. 

CMF appears to offer more advanced audio processing and leakage reduction, while Baseus focuses on delivering richer tuning. 

For most listeners, the difference will come down to preference. Bass lovers may lean toward Baseus, while those wanting a cleaner, more balanced presentation may prefer CMF. 

/3. Battery life 

This isn’t particularly close. 

CMF Clip Pro delivers up to 10 hours on the earbuds and 32.5 hours with the charging case. Baseus stretches that to an impressive 11.5 hours on a single charge and up to 55 hours total. 

Even though CMF offers a slightly better fast-charge result (four hours from a 10-minute charge versus three hours on Baseus), the Bowie MC2 simply lasts much longer overall.
