According to a report by Niko Partners, the top three games market in the Middle East and North Africa region include Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt, with the market estimated to be worth $1.76 billion as of 2021. Of the three, Egypt accounted for 58.7% of the total gamers within the region in 2021.

In fact, total revenue from mobile games is projected to reach $1 billion in 2023, with the average revenue per user (ARPU) in the Mobile Games market expected to amount to $30.16 in 2023.

From facilitating electronic bill payments and mobile top-ups to various other digital services, including e-ticketing and cable TV, Egypt’s largest e-payment platform and fintech unicorn, Fawry now wants to redefine the country's gaming industry.
