Square Enix has announced on X that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second entry in its remake trilogy, will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox on June 3, 2026, with pre-orders now live and offering up to 20% off in select regions.
“Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second game in the remake trilogy, arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox on June 3, 2026,” Square Enix confirmed in its announcement, adding that “pre-orders begin today with discounts of up to 20% in select territories.”
Alongside the announcement, Square Enix has discounted the FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH Digital Deluxe Edition to $55.99, down from $69.99, on Xbox Series X|S and PC via Xbox Play Anywhere, giving players early access to bonus digital content at a reduced price ahead of launch.
The game is being published by Square Enix and developed by its internal creative teams behind Final Fantasy VII Remake, positioning the release as the second major installment in the ongoing remake trilogy.
What’s Included in the Digital Deluxe Edition
The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the full game alongside exclusive in-game summoning materia, accessories, and armour, plus access to a digital art book and mini soundtrack through Square Enix’s content viewer, with internet access required to view the bonus materials. The discounted bundle is available now across supported storefronts, offering added value for both long-time fans and new players discovering the reimagined RPG.
FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH continues Square Enix’s modern retelling of the iconic 1997 classic, expanding its story, combat systems, and open-world design across a broader scope. The game picks up after the events of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE, following Cloud and his allies beyond Midgar as they pursue Sephiroth across a vastly reimagined world.
According to Square Enix, the discounted Digital Deluxe Edition and pre-order bonuses are part of its effort to make the game more accessible to both returning fans and newcomers while rewarding early adopters ahead of launch.
Pre-Order and Returning Player Bonuses
Players who pre-order before June 2, 2026, will receive bonus summoning materia and upgraded armour items, which Square Enix notes “may be sold separately at a later date.” Returning players with save data from FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE can also unlock exclusive Leviathan and Ramuh materia, rewarding continuity across the trilogy.
