Level Infinite is bringing a strong lineup to Gamescom 2026, with the Tencent-owned video game publisher set to showcase playable games, new updates, developer appearances, exclusive rewards, and other fan experiences in Cologne, Germany.
Among the biggest attractions will be the first public hands-on demo for CONTROL Resonant, the console version of Dune: Awakening, and a new event preview for Hunt: Showdown 1896.
Gamescom 2026 will run from August 26 to 30 at Koelnmesse. The event has already sold out its available exhibition space for the first time, making this year's show one of the largest in Gamescom's history.
CONTROL Resonant Will Be Playable for the First Time
The biggest attraction at Level Infinite’s booth is CONTROL Resonant, Remedy Entertainment’s highly anticipated follow-up game to Control. Gamescom 2026 marks the first time the public will be able to get hands-on with the game.
Set in a paranaturally twisted version of Manhattan, CONTROL Resonant puts players in the role of Dylan Faden as they battle reality-warping threats using supernatural abilities and a shape-shifting melee weapon.
The timing could hardly be better as CONTROL Resonant is scheduled to launch worldwide on September 24, 2026. This means that Gamescom attendees will get an opportunity to play the sequel just weeks before its release.
For fans who have been waiting to see how Remedy's next chapter actually feels to play, this could be one of the most important demos on the Gamescom 2026 show floor.
Dune: Awakening Brings Its Console Debut to Gamescom
Funcom's open-world survival game launched on PC in 2025, but Gamescom will mark the first public hands-on opportunity to play its console version. Players will be able to explore Arrakis, try out its crafting and exploration systems, and get a feel for how the game translates to a controller.
There's also a dedicated Dune: Awakening photo experience at the booth, giving fans another reason to spend some time at the Level Infinite stand after their demo. For a game built around surviving the harshest planet in the universe, bringing the console version to one of the world's biggest gaming events feels like a natural next step.
