Republic of Ireland-headquartered online gaming giants Flutter Entertainment recently received a glowing endorsement from Goldman Sachs.

They initiated coverage on Flutter with a Buy rating and a $320 price target - a move that shows how much the firm has grown in the United States.

Flutter recently reported an impressive 27 percent year-on-year increase in Q3 revenue, mostly due to the US market. The Irish company currently has plenty of momentum behind them.

Following the firm’s stunning performance, analysts swiftly revised their price targets, with some going as high as $350 per share.

Flutter has since launched a $5 billion share repurchase program, and Goldman Sachs managed the initial tranche of £350 million.

The move will boost shareholder value and reiterates the company's belief in itself.

Goldman Sachs Issue Optimistic Analysis

Goldman Sachs issued an optimistic assessment of Flutter based on their proprietary player cohort framework, a detailed methodology for analysing consumer behaviour, particularly within its US operations.

Their findings show that Flutter could exceed current consensus expectations. Key growth areas include new customer acquisition in established states, expansion into untapped markets and a well-calibrated approach to promotional activity.

The US market is already proving lucrative, recording a 51% surge in revenue in the third quarter of 2024. Goldman Sachs believes that if they make more updates in the future, Flutter's outlook will show even more potential.

Flutter has massive plans for the Northern American market, with exciting marketing campaigns and product improvement measures in the pipeline as they look to boost user engagement.

Flutter’s Casino Legacy in Ireland

Even though most of the current conversation around Flutter focuses on its US expansion, the company's roots are firmly based in Ireland and cannot be overlooked.

Flutter runs some of the most popular and critically acclaimed Irish online casinos and gaming platforms, setting the standard for innovation and consumer trust in the industry.

Brands such as Paddy Power and PokerStars deliver high-quality user experiences, setting the standards which many new Irish online casinos use as a template for success.

Flutter's flawless operations have earned them a stellar reputation for delivering exceptional service while creating safe, engaging spaces for its users.

They have finetuned their operational models over the years and now export their best practices overseas, targeting emerging markets.

Starting operations in an environment with a solid regulatory framework such as Ireland gave Flutter a competitive edge and they have fully capitalised.

An Opportunity in Women's Sports Betting

Women's sports are becoming more popular, with viewership skyrocketing and fan engagement at an all-time high.

More and more fans are following and attending more women's European football matches, forcing the clubs to start allowing female teams to play at the main stadium.

In the WNBA, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has become a sensation following her performances in college and early showings in the professional league.

Flutter’s Sports Trading Senior Director Matt Hammond recently spoke about their platforms creating a different section specifically for Clark because people were looking to bet on her.

Meanwhile, around one quarter of all bets placed at Flutter-owned FanDuel at the 2024 Olympic Games were on women’s events.

Flutter is looking to engage new demographics while fostering inclusivity. The notion that betting is a man's activity is a baseless assumption that has travelled down generations.

The company has moved to partner with women's sports leagues, investing in targeted marketing campaigns as they look to build a foundation for long-term growth. This emphasis is not just a ploy to change societal norms - it is a brilliant move from a business point of view.

With more women stepping into the betting world, Flutter has positioned itself to capture a chunk of this emerging market, expanding its customer base among younger and more diverse audiences.

As women's sports grow globally, there are opportunities for cross-market synergies as the lessons learned in one region can be transferred to others.
