Rockstar Games has released a new Grand Theft Auto VI launch trailer, giving fans another look at Jason and Lucia’s dangerous partnership ahead of the game’s November 19 release.
Beyond the familiar sights of Vice City, the trailer offers a few clues about the story, the scale of the trouble awaiting its protagonists, and the music Rockstar is bringing to its next open-world crime game.
Here are four things worth paying attention to in the new GTA 6 trailer.

/1. Jason and Lucia’s relationship will drive the story
The clearest takeaway is that Jason and Lucia are at the centre of GTA 6’s story, and their relationship could be just as important as the criminal activities surrounding them.
Rockstar describes the pair as people who have always known the odds are stacked against them. Their situation gets worse when an apparently easy score goes wrong, pulling them into a criminal conspiracy that stretches across the state of Leonida.
That setup suggests the story will put their partnership under pressure as the consequences of their decisions grow. Rockstar also says the two will have to rely on each other more than ever if they want to survive.
It is a promising direction for a game built around two protagonists. However, the trailer does not explain how their relationship develops, what goes wrong during the job, or who is behind the conspiracy.
/2. The trouble extends beyond Vice City
Vice City may be the headline setting, but GTA 6’s story reaches further across Leonida. The trailer hints that an easy score goes wrong, pulling Jason and Lucia into a much larger criminal conspiracy that could bring different locations and characters into the same conflict.
Rockstar has yet to reveal what the job involves, what causes it to unravel, or how the conspiracy develops. For now, the trailer establishes the scale of the trouble facing the pair without confirming the specific missions or events that will drive the story.
/3. Justice’s new single sets the tone for GTA 6
Music gets a notable spotlight in the trailer. The trailer features new music from French electronic duo Justice, the composers of GTA 6’s original score.
The accompanying track is “Flower in a Hurricane,” featuring Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. The standalone single is also available through Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, the official soundtrack release that Rockstar says is available to pre-save on major music streaming services and pre-order on vinyl or CD.
