Here are the PS Plus monthly games for September 2025
September’s PlayStation Plus lineup offers a surreal platformer, a cosy farming sim, and a brain-bending puzzle adventure.
PlayStation Plus gave subscribers a strong lineup in August, with Lies of P standing out as the big talking point alongside two other solid titles. That made this month a tough act to follow. September’s lineup might not include a breakout blockbuster on that same level, but the games on offer are still more than worth your time.
Instead of one big “wow” moment, this month leans into variety, giving players a mix of quirky storytelling, cosy farming, and reality-bending puzzles.
Starting September 2, all PlayStation Plus members, regardless of tier, will gain access to three games: Psychonauts 2, Stardew Valley, and Viewfinder. Together, they showcase just how wide the PlayStation Plus library can stretch, appealing to completely different kinds of players in the process.
Psychonauts 2

First up is Psychonauts 2, the long-awaited sequel to the 2005 cult classic. The original earned a reputation for its humour and creative worlds, and the 2021 follow-up doubled down on that charm.
Players once again step into the shoes of Razputin “Raz” Aquato, a young psychic who dives into the minds of others to solve puzzles and uncover secrets. This time, the stakes are higher, with Raz navigating strange dreamscapes while dealing with a mole hidden inside the Psychonauts organisation. The game’s mix of platforming and stunning visuals makes it one of the most unique experiences you can play through PS Plus.
Stardew Valley

On the opposite end of the spectrum is Stardew Valley, the indie darling that helped turn “cosy games” into a global trend. Since its 2016 debut, it has remained a fan favourite, thanks to its blend of farming, fishing, dungeon crawling, and relationship-building elements.
Players start with a rundown farm and slowly shape it into a personal oasis, whether by raising crops and animals, exploring caves, or simply hanging out with the townsfolk. Few games balance relaxation and depth as well as Stardew Valley, which is why it continues to thrive nearly a decade after release.
Viewfinder

Finally, Viewfinder offers something completely different. This puzzle game puts an instant camera in your hands and lets you use photographs to reshape the world around you.
Snap a picture of a bridge, and you can place it in the environment to cross a gap. Take a shot of a doorway, and it becomes a real exit in front of you. It is a game about perspective, constantly forcing players to rethink what they see and how they interact with space.
Sony has been leaning heavily on variety to keep PlayStation Plus competitive, especially with Xbox Game Pass dominating the subscription space. By offering a mix of blockbusters, indie darlings, and inventive experiments, the service keeps giving subscribers reasons to log in each month.
