The UK's second and final India Young Professionals Scheme ballot opens at 1:30 p.m. India Standard Time on July 21 and closes just 48 hours later on July 23.

Successful applicants can live, work, and study in the UK for up to two years without needing an employer sponsor before they arrive.

The scheme forms part of the UK-India Migration and Mobility Partnership, which allocates 3,000 visas each year through two ballots. Most places were allocated during the February ballot, making this the final opportunity for eligible Indian citizens to apply in 2026.

British High Commissioner to India Lindy Cameron described the programme as an initiative designed to strengthen ties between the two countries.

"The Young Professionals Scheme is an excellent programme which helps build a modern understanding," she said, encouraging applicants from across India to enter regardless of which city or region they call home.
