For the past year or so, smartphone makers have been flirting heavily with the idea of ultra-thin phones. Samsung tried it. Apple did the same. A few others dipped their toes in, too. The pitch so far has been sleeker designs, lighter builds, and a more “premium” feel in the hand. The problem? Most of these thin phones come with eye-watering prices and compromises that make them hard to recommend.

Infinix, it seems, has been watching all of this unfold. Now, it's decided it's time to enter the ring with the Infinix Note Edge, only this time, without the premium price tag.

At first glance, the Note Edge makes its intentions clear. It’s just 7.2mm thick and weighs 185g in its green finish, which immediately puts it in that “noticeably slim” category when you pick it up. It’s not chasing record-breaking thinness, but it’s slim enough to feel modern and comfortable, especially if you’re coming from one of today’s bulky 200g-plus phones.

The front is dominated by a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display, and it’s one of the phone’s biggest highlights. You get a sharp 1.5K resolution, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and eye-friendly PWM dimming, along with peak brightness that’s more than enough for outdoor use.

Despite the slim profile, Infinix managed to squeeze in a massive 6,500mAh battery. That’s the sort of capacity that should comfortably get most people through a full day and then some, even with the large display. When it’s time to top up, 45W fast charging helps keep downtime short, and there’s even reverse wired charging for emergencies.

Under the hood, the Note Edge runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 7100 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. This isn’t a performance monster, but it should be able to handle everyday use and light gaming without chewing through the battery. Camera-wise, you’re looking at a 50MP main shooter on the back and a 13MP camera up front, which fits the phone’s “no-nonsense mid-range” positioning.

Given the current status quo of how expensive slim phones tend to be, the most interesting thing about the Note Edge is its price. Infinix has officially priced the phone at $200, placing it well under the $999 iPhone Air and Samsung S25 Edge, and it’s already available to order in several global markets. At that price, you’re also getting Android 16 out of the box, an IP65 rating, stereo speakers tuned by JBL, NFC, and a handful of thoughtful extras that help round out the package.
