UK-based, Africa-focused venture capital firm, TLcom, announced this week that it has secured an additional $31 million for its TIDE Africa Fund, bringing its total funding to $71 million as of February 5, 2020.

With the new funding, the VC firm plans to invest in up to 12 startups over the next 18 months, having led and participated in funding rounds of six African startups so far, since its first close in 2017.
