Motorola has launched two flagship smartphones that sit surprisingly close in price but are designed for very different buyers. The new Motorola Edge 70 Max puts gaming, battery life, and sustained performance at the centre of the experience, while the Motorola Signature focuses on premium design, photography, and long-term usability.

That makes choosing between them less about which phone is objectively better and more about which one fits your needs. With only a small price gap separating them, choosing between the Motorola Edge 70 Max and Motorola Signature comes down to what you value most.

Here’s how they stack up.

/1. Design

The Edge 70 Max immediately feels different from previous Motorola Edge phones. Instead of curved sides, Motorola has opted for flat edges that make the phone easier to grip during long gaming sessions while reducing accidental touches in landscape mode. The compromise is that it’s noticeably heavier at 221 grams and thicker at 8.29mm.

The Signature takes a completely different approach. At just 186 grams and under 7mm thick, it’s one of the lightest flagship phones in this segment. Its gently curved frame, fabric back finish, and slimmer profile make it feel more refined in everyday use, particularly if you spend long hours holding your phone.

Both phones carry IP68 and IP69 ratings alongside MIL-STD-810H certification, so durability isn’t something buyers need to worry about on either device.

💡
Winner: Motorola Signature. Its lighter body and slimmer design make it much more comfortable to use every day.
