New reports suggest that the Motorola Edge 70 Pro could launch in India soon. While Motorola has no confirmed an official launch date yet, a mix of certifications, teasers, and leaks are starting to paint a fairly clear picture of what to expect.
The phone recently appeared on the UAE’s Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) certification website with the model number XT2607-1, which typically hints that a global launch isn’t far off. At the same time, Flipkart has quietly put up a “coming soon” microsite for an unreleased Motorola device, widely believed to be the Edge 70 Pro. None of this confirms an immediate release, but it does strongly suggest that Motorola is preparing to unveil its next premium mid-range contender.

From what has surfaced so far, the Edge 70 Pro looks like it could be a slight upgrade from last year’s Motorola Edge 60 Pro, rather than a routine refresh. Teasers show the device could come in blue, green, and white finishes with a curved pOLED display and a triple-camera setup housed in a square module.
Leaked renders also hint at textured finishes, including fabric-like and wood-inspired backs depending on the colour variant, giving the phone a distinctive design language that Motorola has been experimenting with lately.

Under the hood, rumours point to a Snapdragon 8-series chipset replacing the Dimensity 8350 Extreme found in its predecessor. If true, that would be a notable performance jump. The display is expected to remain a 6.7-inch 1.5K curved pOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, similar to the Edge 60 Pro, but likely tuned for better brightness and colour output. Durability could also be a highlight, with reports suggesting IP68 and IP69 ratings alongside MIL-STD-810H certification.
Cameras appear to be a big focus this time. The phone, leaks have shown, is expected to feature a Sony Lytia-powered primary sensor, paired with an ultra-wide lens (reportedly 12mm equivalent) and a 3.5x optical zoom telephoto camera with OIS. There are also claims of “Super Zoom” capabilities and a 50MP front camera with autofocus for selfies and video calls, which would keep Motorola competitive in a segment where camera versatility is becoming a major selling point.
Battery life may be the most eye-catching upgrade. The Edge 70 Pro is rumoured to pack a massive 6,500mAh battery, up from 6,000mAh, while retaining 90W TurboPower fast charging. If accurate, this could place it among the largest batteries in its class without compromising charging speed.
As for pricing, the Edge 60 Pro launched at ₹29,999 ($320), but industry-wide component price hikes mean the Edge 70 Pro could start somewhere between ₹30,000 ($320) and ₹35,000 ($375).
Until Motorola makes things official, everything remains speculative, but the signs suggest this could be one of the more compelling mid-range launches of the year.
