The Motorola Signature made its first global debut at the CES 2026 earlier this month, where it caught many eyes with it's for high-end spec and performance.

This debut immediately placed it as Motorola’s premium flagship, above the regular Edge line up. With this premium phone, Motorola aims to go head-to-head with premium flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S26

Motorola is now set to debut the Signature in India on 23 January 2026. Following weeks of anticipation, the company confirmed the date via Flipkart, which will serve as one of its sales partners alongside the official Motorola store and other retailers.

Pricing starts at ₹55,999 ($620) for the base 8GB/256GB model, while the top-of-the-line 16GB/1TB variant is expected at ₹84,999 ($950). As always, boxed prices in India typically exceed the actual retail price.

Under the hood, the Signature runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. It packs a 6.8‑inch LTPO AMOLED display with up to 165 Hz refresh rate and peak brightness above 6,000 nits.

Motorola Edge 70 rolls out in India with an ultra-slim design and a surprisingly large battery
At just 5.99mm thin, the Motorola Edge 70 pairs a lightweight build with a 5,000mAh battery, testing how far design-first phones can go without real compromises.

Despite being a paper thin size at 6.99mm, it carries an IP69 rating and MIL-STD-810H military certification. It packs a 5,200mAh silicon-carbon battery with 90W TurboPower wired charging, 50W wireless and 10W reverse wireless support.

The camera optics include a triple setup that contains a 50MPSony LYT-828 main sensor with 3.5° OIS, a 50MP Sony LYT-600 periscope lens capable of 3x optical zoom, and a versatile 50MP ultrawide sensor that doubles as a high-end macro lens.

Motorola is also pushing software and services as part of the experience. The Signature will offer exclusive 24×7 lifestyle assistance services, and a Signature CLUB benefit with complimentary service credits for first‑time users.

The phone will be sold through Flipkart, Motorola India’s online store, and offline outlets. Official pricing and full specs will be confirmed at launch.

With this launch date, Motorola is using the Signature to get its piece of the premium smartphone market in India that has been traditionally dominated by Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi and a few others.
