South African technology giant MTN Group delivered a solid Q1 2022 performance, with double-digit service revenue growth of 15.9% across its entire markets.

The company's subscriber numbers grew by 3.2% year-on-year to 276.2 million, with MTN Nigeria adding 1.7  million subscribers during Q1 2022, demonstrating good momentum on the 1 million in net additions reported for Q4 2021, thanks to new SIM registration regulations in the country.
