Nigeria continues to gain more recognition as the African technological powerhouse as it holds the record for the highest number of tech startups in Africa, with no signs of slowing down. Nigeria remains the top VC market on the continent with startups having raised over $3.7 billion since 2019.
In the recent analysis put together by Disrupt Africa, over 481 startups were in operation in Nigeria as of the end of September 2022, with these startups of in various industries, including Financial Services, eCommerce, Agriculture, Healthcare, and Mobility & Logistics, and about 20,000 employees between them.
